Excellent stuff here DeMario ! Sounds like you’re pretty busy. Here’s a question for you, how do you make sure you maintain great grades while doing all this? So for a freshman who wants to get involved but is concerned about grades, how can he or she do this and excel in classes as well? Great episode, I really enjoyed this. And M-I-Z (that’s the Mizzou chant for all the non-Tigers out there).

So sorry @drdale ! didn’t see this comment until now. to answer your question, I’m always grades first, and I had to spend my first year learning exactly how many extra curricular hours I could handle while still being a high achieving student. I think the two most important strategies I use in order to be busy yet up on my grades is having a weekly schedule and forming a habit with my studying time. To keep it brief, the key to being a great time manager is having a visual representation of your daily/weekly tasks and having a set time to study, volunteer, do research, and do your extracurriculars every week while making sure you still have plenty of free time to relax or maybe put some extra hours into work if needed.
