Great podcast @drdale! I completely agree that one must be cognizant of medical school costs and loans. This adds up, so choose wisely. There are scholarships, grants, military assistance, and MD/PhD programs which may support you. I’d like to add that during residency and fellowship you will be getting paid so at that point it makes senses to aim for top programs as they can provide you with resources and a solid network.
